Calfskin leather is known for its finer grain and supple feel.  This leather has a slightly higher polish than the cowhide and a more elevated look and feel.  The grain is distinctive and deep, adding unique character to each strap.  Unlike the Chromexcel, the color will not change as much with wear and it has a much more even appearance.

Each of my leather straps comes with quick-release spring bars for convenient strap changes, a handsome stitched border and a classy yet robust brushed buckle.

Due to the nature of a natural material like leather, I highly recommend a deployant buckle for your strap.  These deployant buckles will not only allow you quicker on/off the wrist, but they will put less stress on the leather holes, creating fewer creases and increasing the life of your strap.  You can find those here.
