The 8,000-Watt VSX218B is a direct radiating passive twin 18" subwoofer that is ideally suited for a broad range of speech and music sound reinforcement applications in both fixed, portable, and touring audio systems. VSX218B’s superb low frequency reproduction makes it the perfect choice for deployment in clubs, bars, theatres and AV applications.

Stunning Performance

A dual ported bass reflex system, the VSX218B features dual high powered 18" low frequency drivers that provide extended low frequency response to well below 30 Hz – for chest-pounding bass. Fast and accurate transient response enables the VSX218B subwoofer to generate massive quantities of tight low end output that is virtually distortion-free.

Versatility

VSX218B Subwoofers can be easily deployed in a multitude of configurations, thanks to the integral M10 rigging points. For touring and portable applications, the enclosures also feature strategically placed carry handles, which are ergonomically integrated into the sides of each cabinet.

Construction and Connectivity

Finished in a hard wearing semi matt black paint, the cabinet is constructed of internally braced plywood and includes a rugged powder coated perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam. The rear panel connector plate carries industry-standard twist-locking speaker and barrier strip connectors for input and link connections to accommodate additional subwoofer, or satellite full range loudspeakers.

This version doesn’t work
I used these 2 nights in a row. I was hoping Oracoat found a solution to the problem people like me have with the regular Xylimelts: irritation of gums. As others have noted the “sensitive” version doesn’t melt and the goo that remains can be difficult to remove. I didn’t have too much trouble after the first night. However, the second day after use, it was so hard to get the remains out, I wound up with a very sore spot from digging it out. I will toss the rest. It’s too bad this effort fizzled. I hope Oracoat will find a solution For sensitive mouths. In the b meantime, I will use the original for a few nights and then stop before repeating. The idea behind the original product is fantastic. Unfortunately this attempt to make it usable for people with sensitive mouths hasn’t worked. Please try again.

I had used the original Xylimelts a few years back for my night time very dry mouth. They worked very well, completely dissolving overnight, but they caused sores inside my cheeks. Recently I discovered this new version which was purported to be made without the offending ingredients. They don't work quite as well, as they don't completely dissolve, but so far haven't caused any irritation. My mouth isn't completely parched as it was without any product, so it is definitely better than nothing. There is a gel-like residue in the morning that needs to be scraped off the teeth. I think Oracoat has some more R & D to do.
