Dit is geen tijdelijke weegopstelling die je bij een thema neerzet of losse schalen die na een activiteit weer verdwijnen. Het is een vaste weegschaal in de buitenruimte waar verzamelen, wegen en vergelijken dagelijks terugkomen.

De weegschaal wordt gebruikt om te zien wat zwaarder is en hoeveel er nodig is om in evenwicht te komen, terwijl verzamelde materialen uit verschillende seizoenen laten zien dat nat zwaarder is dan droog en dat grootte niet altijd gewicht betekent, en professionals kunnen aansluiten bij wat daar ontstaat zonder het vooraf vast te leggen.
