Model van de jurk

De jurk heeft kleine plooien van hals tot net boven de taille en is fraai uitgesneden op de rug. De jurk drapeert mooi vanwege de plooien, heeft steekzakken en een comfortabele pasvorm. Zonder een duidelijke taillering, toch een zeer elegant model. Een klein kokosnoten knoopje in de hals maakt het geheel af.

Tangalia weeftechniek

De kleine witte stipjes, als minuscule sneeuwvlokjes over de groene stof verspreid, zijn handmatig in de stof geweven/geknoopt. Het is een handweeftechniek die streekgebonden. Alleen in Surendranagar in de Indiase deelstaat Gujarat is er een weversgemeenschap die deze techniek beheerst. De stipjes zijn aan de voorkant en de achterkant identiek.
