Stel je voor dat je 's ochtends koffie drinkt uit je eigen unieke kopje of water serveert aan je gast uit je handgemaakte karaf. In deze workshop leer je in één les alle essentiële kennis om je eigen aardewerk te maken om dit te bereiken.
Tijdens de workshop word je door het hele proces van werken met klei geleid.
- Kennis over klei, van kleibol tot kopje (kleine theorie uitleg)
- Hands on proces
- Bouwen van de stukken
- Schilderen
Daarna worden je creaties in het atelier gebakken. Elk stuk aardewerk moet twee keer gestookt worden om waterdicht en permanent te worden. Daarom zijn je afgewerkte stukken na 3-4 weken klaar om opgehaald te worden.

Let op: Draag makkelijk zittende kleding die vies mag worden. Doe je haar naar achteren en houd je nagels kort. De les wordt in het Engels gegeven, maar je kunt vragen stellen en communiceren in het Nederlands.

Ceramics lesson/ Ceramics workshop / make your own cups/ Ceramiek class in Rotterdam/ Pottery
Imagine drinking coffee in the morning from your own unique cup or serving water to your guest from your handmade karat. In this workshop you will learn all the essential knowledge to make your own pottery to accomplish these in one lesson.
During the workshop, you will be guided through the entire process of working with clay.
- Clay knowledge, from a clay ball to cup (small theory explain)
- Hands on process
- Building the pieces
- Painting
Afterward, the studio will fire your creations. Each pottery piece requires two firings to become waterproof and permanent. Therefore, your finished pieces will be ready for pickup after 3-4 weeks.
