The 1959 originally earned its legendary status throughout the '60s and '70s while playing alongside rock and blues legends like Hendrix, Page, and Young. Their original 1959s served as the bedrock from which they built their signature sounds. With a harmonically rich overdrive and natural dynamics, their sound defined the sound of early hard rock.
Today's Marshall 1959 Modified delivers the iconic tone of the 1959 with new, modern features. Starting out, the 1959 Modified features a master volume control that allows for players to summon Marshall's classic high-gain crunch at any volume level.
