The Whittet-Higgins SNW-109 X 1-7/16 is a bearing adapter set comprising a tapered adapter sleeve, a matching threaded locknut (N- or AN-series) and a tongued lockwasher (W-series), used to mount and lock a tapered-bore bearing onto smooth, unstepped shafting. The set delivers infinite axial adjustment, concentric seating and accurate preloading of the bearing, and meets or exceeds ANSI/ABMA 8.2-1999. All components are carbon steel, rated to a maximum operating temperature of 300 deg F, manufactured in the USA and RoHS compliant.
